We harvest our Sumac from the land we live on in the pristine mountains of the Adirondack State Park.
There are many ways that you can use Sumac, these tea bags have added Orange zest, freshly dehydrated to maintain optimal flavor. You can drink it warm or cold, with added sweetener and spices, or enjoy it au naturel. On our Homestead we love to drink mulled sumac tea as a lovely winter drink served warm to help support the immune, respiratory, and urinary tract systems and to build the blood. It’s also a wonderful summer drink served cold to lower the body temperature in the heat.
Sumack has historically been used as a SUPPORT FOR THE IMMUNE SYSTEM and with helping heart and metabolic health. It is often used also used to help regulate blood sugar
TANGY-SOUR AND ACIDIC AROMA: Sumacs tangy-sour and lemon-flavored sumac powder, which is made from dried and finely grounded sumac berries. It has an acidic flavor reminiscent of lemon juice. It is great for adding acidity, brightness, and color to many dishes, which makes this chili versatile in its culinary usage. This makes our Sumac perfect for salads instead of lemon juice or can be used as a condiment to top any meal. Just add a pinch to your dishes and enjoy the relishing taste. You can use these gourmet spices to give a new flavor to your dishes, with their strong aromatic taste and smell. Sprinkle them as a seasoning mix on hummus or season grilled meat and fish to intensify their flavor.
