Rudbeckia laciniata, or Sochan / cut leaf coneflower, is a perennial plant native to the eastern US. In its young stages, the leaves are extremely delicious and known to be a cornerstone of Cherokee and other native peoples cuisine. We harvest our sochan from pristine forest and stream edges. This listing is for 1lb fresh, and is collected to order. We ship Mon - Thurs, so if you place an order Fri - Sun it will not go out till Monday or Tuesday as we have to go collect it!
