Hello, I'm Leya (pronunciation: Star Wars) the forager, baker, and herbalist behind Following Cairns. I reside in the Dakota Oyate homelands of Minnesota. All products contain a sustainably foraged element from the midwest region.
I am a beginner herbalist with a 100 hour certificate from Herban Roots Apprenticeship completed in 2021.
Baked goods are available for local pick-up only. These products are homemade and not subject to state inspection. Certified under the Minnesota Cottage Food law which prohibits shipping sales.
When foraging I always follow rules of reciprocity including:
- Never pick the first you see in that way you ensure you will never have picked the last.
- Say a prayer of thanks to the Creator.
- Give back to the area by picking up nearby trash managing a few displaced species crowding nearby or writing your local/state/federal officials regarding public land back.
Due to the perishable nature of some of our products, we do not accept returns. In the event that you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos so that we can assist you with a replacement or a refund.

Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel within 4 hours of placing an order, as long as the order has not yet been processed or shipped.
We reserve the right to cancel orders if there are issues fulfilling the orders, such as changes with inventory or the inability to ship to a customer’s address. In these cases, we will provide a full refund to the customer.
