Oregon Mushrooms has been sharing our passion for mushrooms with others via the Internet since our first eBay sale back in 1999. We started out smaller with a focus on high quality dried morel mushrooms but soon customers began asking after the availability of other types of mushrooms. As a result of this kind of demand, we've since expanded our high-quality inventory to offer a variety of dried and fresh seasonal and cultivated mushrooms as well as unique mushroom-related specialty and gift items, such as black truffle oil and white truffle oil and truffle butter and truffle sea salt. All of our products are GMO Free! We do not believe in selling anything that is genetically modified.

*For all orders ask for a delivery 1-2 days before you would normally want them there so if there are weather issues, we have time to try to get the order to you. Read the UPS's holiday schedule so you know when UPS will deliver. *Shipping cutoff time is 10 am PST, we cannot ship after 10 am unless we have time. We do NOT ship for Saturday deliveries! The cut off time on Thursdays is 10:30 am unless you call us and verify that we can still ship. If you call us at 800-682-0036 we may be able to ship that day, but we need to know by 10 a.m. PST. We delivery Tuesday through Friday unless you call and verify with us or email us. We try to ship the same day if your order comes in before 10 am, but sometimes it takes a few days to ship. Please understand that sometimes the season for fresh mushrooms may end suddenly without notice. We will email you as soon as we know that the season ended. We will refund your order as soon as we know the season ended. We have no control over nature. There is not always a warning. They have the right to decide not to deliver to certain areas due to high crime rate. That is up to the driver, we have no control over this, nor do we know ahead of times where those areas are. Please make sure someone is available to be there when the package arrives. Otherwise you will need to contact UPS and go pick up your order. This is a big reason that we ask you to write a note to them telling them to leave the package and tell them you accept liability if the package is stolen. We recommend that you do this even if you are home, because some people do not hear the door or do not get to the door fast enough. See below for the letter to leave on your door. *We will not honor any claims for shipping delays if it is due to weather, which means no refunds or replacement on your order at all. This includes all shipping methods, UPS and USPS Shipping options and definitions: To avoid issues, we ask you to PLEASE give us a delivery date. We can choose signature, or no signature required. You can designate someone to sign in case you cannot sign for yourself. You can also leave a note for UPS to leave the package if you cannot come to the door or may not hear the door or at not at home. Just write: PUT THE DATE ON THIS NOTE FOR THE DATE THAT YOUR PACKAGE IS BEING DELIVERED OR IT WILL NOT WORK Dear UPS Courier or USPS Courier, Leave the package here, no signature required. I release UPS and Oregon Mushrooms from liability if my package is stolen or spoils. Thank you, (the recipients name on the package) (signature of the recipient) If you need to contact me, please call me. My phone number is: (Understand that if the package is stolen, or the mushrooms spoil due to not being cared for because you were not at home and did not sign for your package, we will not refund your money) Sign, date and write your name on the note. Or write the same thing, but instead of the part that you are home, change this to say that you are not home. We are not responsible for packages that are not signed for or if you choose standard overnight. We will not refund or replace your mushrooms if they go bad. You are taking a risk having your order delivered and your mushrooms sit out. They must be refrigerated immediately. They may not hold up if you choose Standard overnight. If no one signed for the package, we will not refund or replace your order under any circumstances. You must check your order while UPS there to document damage. UPS NEXT DAY AIR: Check UPS to see what time your order will arrive. In some areas, this can be as late as 7:30 pm. We cannot ship for Saturday, Sunday or Monday delivery for perishables items (fresh or frozen produce). This will be overnight delivery. Your order will be delivered the next business day after shipping. UPS NEXT DAY AIR SAVER: Will be delivered by 9:00 pm. We cannot ship for Saturday, Sunday or Monday delivery for perishables. This will be overnight delivery. UPS 2nd Day: Will be delivered within 2 business days after shipping. For example: if we ship Monday, your order will be there by Wednesday. UPS 3 day select: Will be delivered within 3 business days after shipping. For example: If we ship Monday, your order will be delivered by Thursday. UPS Ground 7 business days. USPS- This can be delivered anywhere from the next day until up to 21 days. USPS does not give money back, we have tried. If you want a guarantee, we recommend UPS. If you do now want a signature, we need to know immediately! USPS now states: 1 day, 2 day, 3 days, this looks like that is a guarantee for delivery, it is not. It is an estimate on how long it should take to get to you after we ship. There is a very good option as well to have your package sent to a UPS "hold" location. The mushrooms will be delivered to a UPS location, and you can pick them up during their business hours. Please call us if this sounds like a good idea. It works really well. Your mushrooms will not sit in the back of a truck all day. I definitely recommend you email us or call us about this before placing your order. INTERNATIONAL: Only available on non perishable items, only choose Priority Mail International and First-Class Mail International. Be aware, that customs can hold your package for as long as they want; we have no control over this, so even if you choose the express methods, they still may take a month or longer to clear customs. For international Priority, you must sign for the package, no exceptions! For standard there is no tracking, no insurance, no signature, therefore, if your order is lost or stolen, we will absolutely not replace or refund it. Do not contact us about anything that goes standard, we don't know anything about it after we ship it. We can track priority in the United States, after that, the package is out of our hands and you need to deal with customs and anything else in your country. NON PERISHABLE ITEMS: We ship within 3 business days of ordering if the items are in stock, if not, please understand that we will email you to tell you that there is a delay, keep these emails please. If you have a special request on when you need your order, please email or call us and we will do our best to meet your needs. We do ship internationally on all dry items, but please check with your customs department to make sure that they are not a banned item. Finding this out is your responsibility since it is much easier for you than for us. PERISHABLE (FRESH/FROZEN ITEMS) Call us to find out if you can get Saturday delivery. UPS is reliable, but they have certain areas they have problems with. If the area is a late delivery area, it helps to put a note for us to add extra ice packs during hot weather. The cost is $25.00 more for a Saturday Delivery. We prefer to not use this, if no one is there to sign, there is a high chance that it will not get delivered without it. YOU MUST CALL US TO CONFIRM WE CAN SHIP FOR A SATURDAY DELIVERY. We will NOT ship until the fee is paid for Saturday delivery. Please call us if you want to add that fee to your order. We cannot ship perishable items for delivery on Monday. Delivery to your business is acceptable, just as long as refrigeration is available, and someone can sign. We do not have time to contact you about a delivery date. We are getting very upset customers if we wait to ship to hear from you. We have decided that we will ship as soon as we can, that may be the same day, or in the next few days, whenever we have the order to ship out. We do our best to make everyone happy. If you need your order by a certain date, please SPECIFY, otherwise, you will get your order as soon as possible. If you gave us a valid email address, you will receive a tracking number to tell you that your order has been shipped. Once we ship, we cannot stop the shipment or reroute it to a different address. Please check your email frequently. We cannot ship fresh mushrooms to Canada or internationally. PLEASE be sure to give us accurate contact information! We need to be able to contact you. We will NOT ship if there is a problem with your information until it is corrected. When you place your order, we do not guarantee your order will be available for fresh mushrooms, we may run out or not like the mushrooms we get in. In this case, we will refund your money. CLAIMS: Mushrooms are very fragile and highly perishable. We also are not responsible for addresses, which are located in P.M. areas. There is a risk in warmer climates. Most addresses are in A.M. delivery areas, which should be delivered between 8:00 - 12:00 in the morning. If you are having us ship to a business address, please tell us in the note section during check out. In rare cases of severe weather or other natural disasters, UPS planes run behind schedule. UPS nor us stand behind perishables which spoil due to inclement weather, UPS does not have refrigeration for anything, so your items will not be put in cold storage between the time we ship until you refrigerate your mushrooms. We advise you order so you can have your order 2 DAYS before you need them! Please call if your order is late and we will try to make a claim and get you out another shipment. Most mushrooms may lose up to a tenth of a pound per pound due to shrinkage during shipment. This weight will be regained when cleaned with water. Your mushrooms will be slightly dry to touch which is normal. For issues with your mushrooms, you MUST open your package with UPS there, so they can document any damage, this is the only way we can file a claim with UPS. If you do not contact us within 1 hour after receiving your mushrooms, we will not give refunds or replacements. Call us at 541-850-6194 or 800-682-0036 and/or email us immediately so we have a document to send to UPS immediately. We ship to all 50 states for fresh, and almost every country for non-perishable items. Check with customs before ordering. If you want to get Saturday delivery, you must email and call us on Friday morning by 9 am PST. Otherwise, we won't ship it. You also must pay for Saturday delivery, which is $25.00 extra, please contact us to add that charge to your order. We can use your account for UPS if you have one. Those that give us a delivery date will have priority for delivery, so please give us a delivery date if you need them on a certain date. The note section is in the shopping cart. Please make sure to click the submit button right under the note section, also if you have any other notes, please write them there. Fresh Produce can be very limited. We may not be able to get your order there on your specified date. Please call us and email us the morning before the delivery date (by 10 am PST) to make sure we have your order. We ship perishables Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We do not deliver on Sundays and we prefer not to deliver on Saturdays. We have an incredible selection of mushrooms: Dried and Fresh Black Trumpets, Chanterelles, Lobster, Maitake, Matsutake, Morels, Oyster, Domestic Porcini, Imported Porcini, Portabella, Shiitake, Wood ear and mushroom mixes. We also carry Truffle Oil, Truffle Sea Salt, Whole and Sliced Black Truffles in Oil and Jarred. Porcini Oil, Huckleberry Jam, Huckleberry Syrup, Vanilla, Saffron and more. Our website is retail and is for the general public. If you would like wholesale, please go the wholesale page or call Scott at 541-850-6194.The minimum order for wholesale is 12#'s of fresh/frozen mushrooms, 6# of dried mushrooms, and call him about any other products you want information on. If you are a harvester, PLEASE call Scott after 3:30. Do NOT call our 800 number. I do not buy, and I will not quote any prices over the phone. Why didn't I receive an email confirmation? You may have put your email address in incorrectly or it also may be a glitch with our email, so you can call us or email us if you need help. We do not recommend that you eat any of our mushrooms raw, that includes dried, fresh and frozen. We only recommend that you cook them all thoroughly before consuming. How many pounds of fresh mushrooms make 1 pound of dried mushrooms? It depends on the type of mushroom. If you want to know, email us or call us and we can be more specific for each edible mushrooms. How quickly do you ship? ~USPS: The same day or within the next couple of business days. (Depending on what time you place your order). ~UPS Ground- Within 3 business days unless we are waiting on a new batch of the product. ~UPS Express (2nd day, Next Day Air or Next Day Air Saver) We must have the order completed by 10 am PST to ship the same day for dried mushrooms, if you order fresh mushrooms, please call us to see if we can ship the same day. We try to get every order out within 2 business days. Delivery times: (Business days are Monday through Friday) USPS: can take up to 2 weeks or longer at this point. UPS Air Saver or Next Day Air: The next business day after we ship. We ship Monday through Thursday. UPS 3rd Day: 3 business days after we ship. 2nd Day: 2 business days after we ship. UPS Ground: 7 business days after we ship. (This depends on your location; it could be sooner) If you asked for overnight delivery and did not specify a date, we will ship out your order as soon as possible. You will get a notice from the website and from UPS if you gave us your email address. If you did not, you will not get a notice of when it will be delivered. We do not give money back if you are not there to take care of your mushrooms as soon as they arrive. The mushrooms may go bad if left out. They must be put in the refrigerator or freezer as soon as they arrive. The fresh mushrooms may be warm, this is okay due to the fact that they are so fresh. During warmer weather we will put ice packs in your order, the ice packs will be defrosted by the time you receive your order. This is normal and okay. We cannot insulate mushrooms due to the fact that they must have air circulation, so they do not spoil. Let us know within 1 hour upon arrival of your mushrooms if you have any issues. Do you take credit cards? Yes, it is very simple and secure. We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. We can take your credit card payment by phone or through the website. We never give your information out to anyone. We also take checks for your convenience. How do I store fresh mushrooms? Please refrigerate your fresh mushrooms immediately upon receiving them (whether they are morels, chanterelles, black trumpet mushrooms or any other wild or cultivated fresh mushrooms). You can also store them in a plastic strainer covered with a dry hand towel. Do not store them in plastic bags or a closed container. They need air circulation, or they will start to go bad. Use them within 5 days. Check them twice a day to make sure there are no bad mushrooms, if any are getting slimy or smell bad, or are turning white, throw them away immediately, or they will ruin your other mushrooms. When in doubt, throw it out. If you eat moldy mushrooms, they will make you sick. Matsutake can be covered with a slightly moist towel to keep the veil from breaking. The Hen of the Woods, Brown Beech and White Beech mushrooms come in a cello pack, do not open them until you are ready to use them. They will last two weeks in their cello bags. How do I store dried mushrooms? Put your mushrooms in your freezer as soon as they arrive. How do I rehydrate my mushrooms? *TO RECONSTITUTE MORELS: 4 CUPS LIQUID PER OUNCE OF MORELS FOR 20 MINUTES, STRAIN THROUGH PAPER TOWEL OR FILTER AND RETAIN LIQUID FOR USE IN FUTURE RECIPES. *TO RECONSTITUTE: MATSUTAKE, PORTABELLA, SLICED SHITAKE AND ALL OTHER TYPES OF DRIED MUSHROOMS EXCEPT WHOLE SHITAKE: SOAK THEM IN 4 C. COLD WATER PER 1 OZ MUSHROOMS OR OTHER COLD LIQUID FOR 25 MINUTES FOR BEST RESULTS. STRAIN THROUGH A COFFEE FILTER, OR PAPER TOWEL AND RETAIN LIQUID IF NEEDED. FOR SHITAKE WE RECOMMEND SOAKING THEM IN WATER FOR A MINIMUM OF 45 MINUTES. THE WHOLE SHITAKE ARE VERY TOUGH THEREFORE THEY NEED THE LONGEST TIME TO RECONSTITUTE. YOU CAN RECONSTITUTE ANY MUSHROOM OVERNIGHT IF YOU PREFER. Can I freeze my fresh mushrooms? Yes, most mushrooms freeze very well. Due to the amount of mushrooms that we carry, please look up how to freeze. You can also email me and I will look it up for you. How do I handle Truffles? Here is the link on where we found this information Each day, replace the paper towel with a fresh towel and dry the condensation from the container. When truffles become soft, they must be consumed immediately. Truffles can be frozen as well; commercial ventures do this, but care must be taken to avoid the collection of moisture on the truffle due to condensation. If you cannot consume your whole truffle before it gets oily, another way to preserve them is to make a truffle butter. Black truffles release more aroma when heated (not cooked), so are generally added at the end to sauces and risottos, stuffed into roulades and foie gras terrines, cooked with eggs, lamb, sweetbreads, seafoods, poultry, the creativity extends even to black truffle ice cream (a specialty of THE NIBBLE’s Wine Editor, Kris Prasad). The famous truffle dish Tournedos Rossini, created for the great opera composer who frequented the top restaurants in Paris, combined beef medallions, foie gras, and black truffles with Madeira. (It’s often made with wild mushrooms to make it affordable at fine restaurants year-round. Heat destroys the flavor of white truffles: They are generally grated raw over pasta, eggs, and other dishes. Are you organic certified? No, only the mycelium powders are organic! We are in the process of finding the mushrooms certified organic that are not wild crafted. It is very difficult to find anyone that is organic certified for dried mushrooms. Are all of your dried mushrooms from the USA? No, we import from different parts of the world. We also have wild mushrooms. The description will tell you if it is wild or cultivated.
