Truffle Dog Co specializes in the harvesting and sale of truffles! We focus on truffles species Native to North America (such as Oregon white and Oregon Black truffles) as well as work with small farmers in select locations (domestically in the US) and with our partner farms across Australia, Chile, and Europe. These are all small family-run operations, where we can trace sourcing every step along the way and even know which dog harvested what truffles! ALL of our truffles are located by using trained dogs and quality and sustainability are our core principles.

Founded in 2013, we not only harvest wild truffles in the US and on our Partner Farms growing European truffle species, but we also work with you to train your own dog to hunt truffles and take guests out on guided culinary truffle adventures during the season (Nov-April). We’re here to educate, provide quality products, and help you enjoy your truffle experience whether that is a deep conversation with friends over a truffle loaded pasta dish, walking through a truffle orchard with champagne in hand, experiencing the truffle hunt for yourself in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, or growing your bond with your dog training them to hunt for truffles, we’re happy to help and be a part of your truffle experience.
Due to the perishable nature of fresh truffles, all orders containing fresh truffles are shipped via Fedex for next day delivery or USPS Priority Overnight.
For orders going to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico we, unfortunately, cannot guarantee next-day delivery.
We also cannot currently ship fresh truffles to Canada or outside of the United States.
When does my order get shipped?
Truffle Dog Company currently ships all overnight orders Monday- Thursday for next-day delivery. Next-day delivery is only available for orders placed online by 12 pm PST.
The majority of our truffles are harvested to order, so we generally need a few days time to collect them. On occasion, we have extra truffles in stock. Ideally, we need 3-7 days prior to when you would like your truffle in order to ensure they will be available.
How is my overnight order shipped?
All overnight orders of fresh truffle are shipped wrapped in paper towels to absorb moisture and carefully packed inside insulated boxes/ envelopes with reusable ice packs designed to maintain your product in good condition for over 36 hours in transit.
Please note that frozen items may begin to thaw during transit.
Shipping Restrictions Overnight orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico are determined by the shipping zone. We cannot guarantee overnight deliveries in these zones, as well as some more rural areas. If you are curious about the timely delivery of your shipment, please feel free to contact us directly for assistance. While we waive the required signature from Fedex for delivery, Fedex may decide not to leave packages in open areas such as apartments or condo complexes. This is outside of our control.
We currently cannot ship overnight items to PO Boxes. All overnight shipments require a street address.

At Truffle Dog Company we pride ourselves on quality and the high standards of the products we sell. Because of this we take every consideration and implement quality control checks throughout the shipment process. A truffle care guide is included in every overnight package containing fresh or frozen truffle products. We suggest you follow these guidelines to ensure the longevity of your product but Truffle Dog Company will not issue refunds or replacement products to anyone who stores or handles products incorrectly.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returned merchandise on any fresh or frozen truffles as well as oils or training solutions. If you are unsatisfied with our product you must contact us within 12 hours of delivery of shipment with a photo documenting the current state of the fresh or frozen truffles and we will work with you, if possible, to reach an amicable arrangement. We guarantee, under normal circumstances, that your product will arrive in a satisfactory state via overnight shipping.
After delivery, Truffle Dog Company cannot be held liable for handling practices or for incorrect storage of the product. Truffle Dog Company will not issue a refund to anyone who refuses a delivery or in any way attempts to return a shipment. Please check all addresses and zip codes carefully. Damage due to incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses voids our guarantee. The customer will be responsible for the charges of a subsequent order.
Local Area Pick Up (Free)
Pick up is at our Seattle Residential Location. All pick-ups must be made by appointment only and for fresh and frozen truffle products only. After your purchase we will contact you to arrange a pick up time. If you are running late to an appointment, please telephone us at (206) 920-3543.
