Recommended for growing in Autumn or early Spring. We pluck only the biggest bottom leaves for the first few months, leaving us with 3' tall "palm trees" of kale (we do the same with our curly kale). We plow under in July and replant new seedlings at the end of July for our Autumn crops. Frost actually makes the leaves sweeter! Very easy to grow.
