All mushrooms should be throughly cooked before consuming them. If its your first time experiencing this mushroom the guidance is to eat a small amount ( no more than a cup) just to be sure their natural antinflammatory and natural antifungal/antibiotic properties don't cause your digestive system issues. They can be sauteed , baked, broiled, cooked in a sauce just make sure to cook for at least 10-15 mins . We recommend salting the mushrooms and place is a dry pan over Medium heat first to make sure any excess water is released. The heat is going to open them up to absorb whatever liquid you add ....veggie stock, chicken stock, vinegar, tomato or a cream sauce base. Once the mushrooms have absorb most of the liquid add more salt and finish with fat (oil or butter or cream the layers of flavor will build themselves! Let simmer for 5-7 mins . They will hold up while cooking and should not disenegrate.
