What is a glycerite? Great question! The simple answer is that is like a tincture only it is made from plant glycerin rather than alcohol based. It is a highly concentrated form of liquid ghost pipe.
A bit about ghost pipe:
It can help with nerve & muscle spasms, fainting spells, and various nervous conditions.
It has been used effectively in treating severe mental and emotional pain due to PTSD and other traumatic injury, as well as severe nerve pain due to Lyme disease.
It is a useful first aid remedy that helps ease pain caused by trauma, tension, migraines, or pinched nerves. It also helps relieve skeletal tension associated with migraines and neck pain, as well as sharp, shooting pains associated with pinched nerves.
Now having filled you in on some of its uses, don't get the wrong impression. This is NOT meant to be a cure all.
The glycerite that I made was specifically made using microdosing guidelines for pain relief using only the blossom and leaves of the ghost pipe (no stems). If you are seeking anxiety relief, this batch is NOT for you.
Dosage: This can be the tricky part. It is up to the individual taste and what you are using the glycerite for. I recommend starting out with only 2-3 drops diluted in your favorite evening beverage at bedtime just to ensure you don't have an allergic reaction to the ingredients. Some people have allergies that they are unaware of, so micro doses are always recommended.
If you tolerate the bedtime drops well, you can continue to use them in a beverage or you can take them directly from the glass dropper. You can increase the drops and frequency to reach the desired effect. These drops should be used only when needed to help calm your nerve pain.
