i made this formula for people who have trouble finding their joy.
it can be easy to feel glass half empty. i think the news wants to make sure you do.
this is your one wild and precious life. seek your fullest and kindest happiness and love everyone around you. you can always be the change you want to see in the world!

i originally made the joy tonic as a custom remedy for someone in a bit of a serious life crux.
within the next few weeks, several other people reached out and seemed to need the same kind of support. after things started resolving for everyone i thought, this nice formula could be loved by many. i have many remedies for mental health- anxiety, depression, listlessness, the works.
i consult for free if you need help getting some meaningful support.
but this formula seems like a nice shift in a few harmonizing directions. we’re quieting the mind, soothing the nerves, releasing tensions and sparking some joy.
it’s a beautiful formula and every ingredient was wild foraged or home grown
and processed fresh at their individual peak seasons.

passion flower is very specific to people who experience their stress very mentally.
low doses quiet the mind and gently benefit brain chemistry. stiff doses can turn thoughts off for a pleasantly meditative lull. it is not particularly sleepy on its own, but i do use it for people who cannot sleep because their minds chatter and chatter. it is a specific for OCD and i home grow it with love and care because i think top quality passion flower is something that people really really need. it is very safe and quietly has profound actions that can really help someone work out of some very difficult imbalances. the fresh plant tincture is very important because it preserves the delicate chemical constituents in their truest form. if passion flower is deeply indicated for someone, i often also give them a bit of homegrown tea and instructions for how to do a proper extended steep to get everything out of it.

lemon balm is another profound, yet very safe and available nervine. it has a pretty taste and brings a deep sense of relaxation and protection. lemon balm is strongly antiviral, benefits endocrine balance and there is even a fascinating study that shows lemon balm protects xray technicians from work place radiation. what the heck right? it’s safe enough for children and is often considered a remedy of child hood or inner child work. i like using it for people who are nervous by nature and have had this disposition since childhood. i like using it for people who are doing inner child work. i like using it for people who struggle with fears that may seem child like. there is no shame in it! it’s good honest work. i always encourage people to meet themselves where they are. no need to twist ourselves up in knots to avoid the important self-work at hand. whatever that work is, trust your path. lemon balm helps you cheer up, calm down and cool off.

abizzia trees may be invasive, but they’re magical to be around. ‘the tree of happiness’ smells beautiful, is covered in gorgeous pink puff ball flowers and butterflies. the flowers open in the morning and close at night, an indication of supporting deeper circadian rhythms. it has a sweet, fuzzy tingly taste that almost reminds me of candy. it looks like it’s straight out of fairytopia and it grows like a weed. it’s specific for depression, anxiety and sleeplessness. it’s oddly quiet and gently rebalances things without making much fuss or taking big credit. it was a fad remedy in mom health magazines a few years ago. i couldn’t keep it in stock. now that the big mainstream marketing has quieted down, i don’t sell nearly as much.
that made me sad because it rocks and people are more stressed and sad than ever. i don’t want everyone to feel sad.
have some pretty, sparkly mimosa flower and restore your perspective to glass half full.

agrimony is in here too. just a smidgeon teeny bit of agrimony. agrimony is the master of tension.
it is the herb of justice and of snipping the mask off. we commonly tangle things up and make them complicated when the root issue is simple, we just don’t always want to see things plainly and do what we gotta do. i only ever use tiny doses of agrimony because it’s hard work facing things that we’ve made tangly to avoid. sometimes people lose track of what the real problem is and they get stuck in their very important self-work. i get a lot of people that start going to extremes to get back to clarity saying ‘there’s no other way! i’ve tried everything!’ agrimony would love to help you out. have no doubt that if you go knocking, agrimony will answer. i think tucking a teeny bit of agrimony into this happy, fuzzy, zen formula is very cozy and appropriate.
you’re tough and cool and brave. do great things and be well<3

ashwagandha as a companion tincture:
totally your choice! i home grow these puppies and they’re strong and fresh. i think ashwagandha is great great great for reclaiming your centeredness,
mind-body-spirit and especially chemically.
chronic stress throws you for a bad chemical loop. we need to normalize stress responses and get consistent, quality and natural sleep.
(tiny rant: melatonin is not all natural. valerian is not a good choice for restoring normalcy. it does not work on root issues. you can develop a tolerance for it, which is unusual for nervines.)
i digress-
ashwagandha balances stress and energy levels. it’s very good for adrenal fatigue and steadying up the HPA axis. over time it helps restore circadian rhythms and sleep cycles.
so in the case of the joy tonic tincture, i like ashwagandha as a companion tincture if you’re exhausted, burnt out and in need of support holding center. yay the middle way!
the option for 'joy tonic + ashwagandha set' is a set of two tinctures of the same size
two .5oz, two 1oz, two 2oz etc
if you want to get more mix and matchy than that, just grab a single joy tonic of whatever size and head over to my ashwagandha listing to pick whatever one you'd like

i consult for free for you safety and benefit. if you have any questions at all- reach out!
