Here are the best ways to prepare this amazing Matsutake mushroom:

1) On the grill. Marinate them in teriyaki, hoisin, or a bit of sherry vinegar for about 30-40 minutes. Afterwards, grill them until they lose much of their body and water.

2) Hydrate in medium boiling water with a splash of Sake and Mirin. Drain, and wrap them in bacon and Colby jack cheese. Bake for 30 mins at 325 degrees. Excellent appetizer!

3) Japanese Soup: Boil chicken breasts in chicken stock. Add 2 cups Matsutake, 1 yellow onion (diced), 6 cloves diced garlic, 1/4 cup sake, 2 tablespoons Mirin, water chestnuts, 3 bunches of green onions, and ramen noodles - creates a flavorful soup! Amazing!
