Another homesteader necessity. Medicinal yarrow salve. This salve was made from yarrow that was responsibly foraged right here in the North Woods of Minnesota. It was harvested, rinsed, and the oil infusion process started all on the same day. Unlike many salves that are strained prior to use, I find it more beneficial to leave part of the yarrow plant in the salve.

It can be used for the following:
Bee Stings
Stop bleeding in minor cuts
Scrapes
Burns
Rashes
Bug Bites
Diaper Rash
Knuckle Buster (arthritis joint relief)

*Before using any herbal product on yourself or others, test a small quantity to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction. Also keep in mind that this salve is best kept at room temperature or refrigerated. If it gets too warm (left in a hot car or in direct sunlight) it will start to reliquify. Don't worry, as it cools it will resolidify, but in liquid form it can make a quick mess that is best avoided.

Your salve should be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. It is best to keep it out of direct sunlight as well.

You can apply small amounts directly to cuts, scrapes, bites, and rashes. As with most medicinals, avoid eye contact.
