The title says it folks. This red pine balm was created start to finish here in the North Woods. The resin was ethically harvested in the timber. It was then infused into an oil base for 6 weeks. After that, strained, and cooked with some simple ingredients and tinned up for use.
This batch has a subtle pine smell. Nothing overpowering, just a pleasant, light aroma. I used white shea butter in one batch and yellow shea butter in another so I have both white and golden balms.
This balm is perfect for treating irritated, chapped skin. It both helps to heal and helps to prevent further chapping by sealing the natural moisture of the skin in. You can use it for hands, feet, neck, anywhere with skin irritation. Use caution when applying around the eyes. Pine resin can be very irritating to the soft tissues around the eyes as well as stinging the eyeball itself.
It will arrive in a 1 ounce tin. That may not sound like much, but less is more with this balm. It takes a very small amount to cover the back of the hand. When used daily the tin should last roughly a month.
