The title says it folks. These are slow roasted stir fry crumbles made from wild chicken of the woods that was harvested right here in the North Woods of Minnesota! They are ready for use straight from the package.
These are a fantastic flavor option for both vegetarian and vegan diets. No added flavors, or colors. Just straight from the Earth mushroom goodness.
The mushroom was harvested responsibly, cleaned with both compressed air and a light ice water rinse, and then straight into the oven for a slow dry roast. After baking, they were taken out of the oven and put into the dehydrator overnight to ensure every bit of moisture was out of them. After that, a quick crumble in the food processor and straight into glass jars.
Never used dried crumbles in stir fry, no worries. Simply toss a small handful into your veggies and they're good to go. Make sure to add a bit of extra water while cooking if you need to. As they rehydrate, the crumbles will absorb any excess moisture from the veggies in the pan. The shorter the cooking, the crisper your crumbles will be. If you prefer a softer mushroom texture you can rehydrate your crumbles prior to adding them to your stir fry.
Each lot will have two full ounces of crumbles. This is enough to fill roughly one and one half pint jars.
