This listing is for fresh sapodilla fruits (manilkara zapota). Sapodilla is also known as nispero, sapota, chikoo, and naseberry. Sapodilla is native to Central America and the Caribbean. It’s flavor and texture can be described as a brown sugar pear. Soft and juicy, very sweet.

Sapodillas should be eaten when soft and the skin can be easily removed with a fingertip.

Your sapodilla fruits will arrive fresh and (ideally) still firm. Allow them to ripen at room temp (65+) until soft. Eat or store right away. Seeds can be collected and sprouted if you wish to start your own tree :)

Store soft fruits in the refrigerator or in your tummy. Store firm fruits on the counter until soft.
