Another Autumn favorite from the North Woods of Minnesota- Millers! Also known as the Sweet Bread Mushroom.
These beauties are fragrant forest finds with rich flavor and a slightly mealy texture.
You can cook these as a stand-alone side dish or add them to soups and stews.
If you have never had the pleasure of trying these before, something to remember- Always try a small sample first to ensure you don't have an allergic reaction. This is a wild edible. You may have a food allergy that you are unaware of. Safety should always be a top priority.
Since these mushrooms are foraged and I live so far North (where the growing seasons can be limited to mere days) I have a limited supply of dried mushrooms. Once sold out you will be able to join a waitlist, and you will get an email the following season when they are back in stock.
The bags have 1oz of dried miller slices. This doesn't sound like much, but the contents will make several meals.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me with them.
Happy Hunting!
Your mushrooms will arrive via USPS.
Your mushrooms will arrive in a food grade foil bag. Store out of direct sunlight for up to 6 months. If you want to extend the shelf life you can seal them in an airtight glass container. The dried mushrooms will remain stable for several years as long as they are stored properly out of direct sunlight and at room temperature.
The dried mushrooms can be rehydrated with water or broth and then cooked to your liking.
