If you are buying early in the season (late March) the stem and leaves of the plant will be much smaller than they will later in the season. The bulbs are still of average normal size, though.

- Will arrive in a cardboard shipping box. Like onions, they dont need to be wet. The box absorbs moisture and the air flow from being unwrapped helps keep them from spoiling in transit.

- Upon arrival, unbox ingredients and place in refrigerator or freezer
- Please keep in mind that these are fresh and although we strive to keep them that way until they arrive, sometimes, its impossible to prevent some wilting. Shipping fresh herbs is a challenge. We try to offer the best shipping options available but, sometimes, due to the weather, carrier, specific herb, or other unforseen circumstances, it is impossible to get them to you without minor wilting of the leaves. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we are constantly trying new ways to remedy this but, for now, this is the absolute best we can do.

Used in various ways, both raw and cooked, substituting them for onions, garlic, or scallions in dishes like salads, pasta, eggs, and stir-fries, or as a unique flavor addition in pesto, butter, or pickles.
