Dried Matsutake mushrooms aka Pine mushroom (Tricholoma matsutake) have been hand foraged in the high mountains of the Pacific Northwest, far away from any pesticides, chemicals, and are totally wild organic and non-GMO. Mushrooms are brushed, cleaned and naturally air dried with minimal human intervention to ensure the best most natural mushroom experience possible while retaining the highest nutritional properties of the mushrooms. Matsutake mushrooms flavor is spicy and intense, resembling cinnamon. They have high amounts of plant based protein, are a source of essential amino acids, vitamin D , and potassium. The mushrooms also contain antioxidants fiber, B vitamins, copper, iron, phosphorus, and zinc.
Great in Asian dishes, soups, casseroles, stews, or sauteed plain in butter and paired with meats such as poultry, seafood, pork duck, etc. Easily rehydrated by soaking in water for 1-2 hours or overnight.
