One of the first Tree medicines as a child I developed a strong connection with its fascinating aromatic Rootbeer scent I was hooked and stimulated my desire to know more about medicinals.
Being blessed with legit sturdy mountain people and woods-wise grandfolks growing up that encouraged me to learn more of the good ol' ways! I learned how Sassafras used traditionally to reduce fevers, soothe chronic rheumatism, gout, and dropsy; relieve eye inflammation, ease menstrual and parturition pain, help cure scurvy and various skin conditions, and act as a disinfectant in dental surgery as well treatment for Oral Cancer!
ooo and did I mention a absolutely divine traditional Appalachian Mountain spicy Chai my Ramapough mountain people called Glaug/Gloog!
good stuff even cold with carbonation and some milk spicy sassy egg nog over seltzer what what?!
Our Russed method is tedious but the outer bark is the goods, yielding 10% Aromatic oil. Many providers of Sassafras root is as whole cut root and wite in appearance, but what you want is red russed look and aromatic. The innerwood/pith is not of much value
So here u go git u some and spice up your life with some Appalachian Mountain Sassachai!!
