2oz Dried Wild Maine White Pine Needle Tea

They don't call it the Pine Tree State for nothin'! Maine is known for its beautiful Pine Trees that cover much of the Northern Part of the state. There is nothing quite like the smell they give off either - you know.. like the "woodsy" candle scents?

Many people have used pine as a scent in their homes for a long time: a pine bow hung on the wall or boiling a pot of pine needles on the stove can fill the room with an amazing aroma!

But what about tea? Many people don't realize, but pine needle tea has been around for centuries. It has been shown to boost the immune system and, well, it tastes pretty dang good too. A woodsy citrus taste makes for the perfect tea on a cold, brisk day. The more you steep, the bolder the taste!

Our Pine Needle Tea is sold dried in loose tea so that you can determine how strong you want your tea. It is very important not to boil the needles, but to steep in hot water instead for 20 minutes or so. Boiling can harm the flavor (releases terpenes that make it bitter) and breaks down the vitamin-C in the needles (you know, one of those things you get this tea for to boost your immune system?) so please don't boil!!

Enjoy!
